The Perfect Morning Acai Bowl Recipe

I was feeling a little deprived of fruit lately and excited for my trip to New Zealand in March so I decided to invest in the bundle of ingredients for an Acai Bowl at Trader Joes and I do not regret it one single bit :) I actually drew inspiration from my barista days working at SHAKTIBARRE where I first learned how to make an ACAI BOWL. (They actually make their own mix.) For this recipe I chose not to include Strawberries and Raspberries but they are often very common for an acail bowl so feel free to make a modification as you please :)  

INGREDIENTS:
1 Trader Joe's Organic Acai Mix Packet (Defrosted) 
1/2 Cup of Organic Blueberries
1-2 Cups of Almond Milk
1 Apple (Peeled, No Skin)
1 Banana

Toppings: Granola, Banana, Cocoa Nibs & Coconut Shavings

STEPS: 

1. Squeeze the Acai Mix from the Trader Joe's Packet into your blender
2. Add the 1 peeled apple with no skin
3. Add 1 cup of Almond Milk and blend all the ingredients together
4. If your mix is too thick, feel free to add more almond milk
5. Add half of the banana to your mix and save the other have for your toppings
7. Add 1/2 a cup of blueberries and blend together
8. Pour your mix into a bowl and top with granola, sliced banana and your choice of cocoa nibs or coconut shavings
