Essential Rose Life by Jennifer Goldman
Jennifer Goldman was 16 years old when she first started her journey. She was living an unhealthy lifestyle until she was 26 years old. She started a life altering therapeutic program at just sixteen and was spent two years at a boarding school in Georgia. Before she went off to college, she went to another program in the south of France and then continued onto another program in a densely populated town in Morocco just shy of one-hundred people. I met Jennifer during my time in New York City at SHAKTIBARRE. She was one of the participating vendors for SHAKTIBARRE's winter boutique. Her holistic beauty line, Essential Rose Life, carried a very specific range of essential oil beauty products and a small range of well rounded rose-bud blended teas. Goldman's products are grounding, awakening, energizing, uplifting, bright and clean.
If you are reading this, Jennifer, thank you. You truly helped me heal during a very difficult time. Meeting you was not by chance and your story was inspiring and empowered me to acknowledge my current situation and reevaluate myself and how I not only treated myself but how I treated others. At SHAKTIBARRE, I started investing in myself by doing meditation, yoga and art therapy. I started using the Essential Rose holistic beauty products that you gave me as part of my daily routine. To this day, I still keep up with my routine.
In the morning, I wash my face and apply a few drops of the Rose Bud Face Serum from the Essential Rose Life collection. I feel ready to start my day. I am awake. Why do I feel so refreshed? Perhaps my skin feels rejuvenated because I am not wearing makeup as often and when I wash my face, I apply essential oil to my skin. Essential oils are meant to brighten the soul and enhance the skin, especially during Winter Season. Winter dries out my skin, so for me, hydration is key.
When I am stressed out and need to lift or brighten my soul, I spray the Lavender Lighten Mood Mist. The lavender is wild crafted and hand picked from the lavender fields in the mountains of Provence, France. This mist helped me during my difficult time in NYC, so much that my boyfriend began requesting a spray here and there. As Jennifer says, "you can smell the height...its elevated, free and beautiful." I suppose this is the same feeling of when the heart is open and the soul is free. The mist is a complex smell of rose, pine and lavender which is sweet, grounding, energizing and awakening. The Jojoba Oil in the face serum allows the skin to detoxify and unclog the pores.
The tea is delicious and certainly helpful, allowing me to enter a state of calm and happiness; opening the heart and encouraging me to have a positive look on life. Whenever I need a break, to slow down a bit and think, I boil my kettle and let a cup of Loving Kindness Rosebud Tea seep while I take some time to open my heart and meditate. This part of my routine was the first step to my recovery when I was on the east coast. A gateway, if you may, to making my way out of the hole I dug for myself and into a state of self-awareness, calm and eventually happiness.
